Gauge-Style (PSIg) vs. Absolute (PSIa) Sensors

TRC provides high-quality PSIa sensors, referenced to absolute zero pressure. Unlike PSIg (gauge pressure) sensors, which measure relative to atmospheric pressure, PSIa sensors provide true manifold pressure readings and can measure vacuum.

At sea level, a PSIa sensor will read 14.7 PSI in atmospheric conditions but can be recalibrated to display zero at atmospheric pressure and negative values in a vacuum.
